About WASF

World AI Sports Federation (WASF) is a New York not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the responsible development and adoption of artificial-intelligence-assisted sports worldwide.
WASF currently completing its organizational establishment.
WASF's core work includes:
- Developing, publishing, and maintaining international standards for AI-assisted sports competition
- Administering certification programs for AI referees, AI coaches, and AI instructors
- Developing AI-related educational curricula, programs, and materials
- Maintaining international world rankings across AI-assisted sports
- Supporting scientific research relevant to AI-assisted sports
- Promoting fairness, transparency, integrity, and innovation in sport
WASF does not itself develop or operate commercial AI competition software. Commercial AI systems are built and run exclusively by independent, separately organized companies, which may apply to WASF for certification and accreditation of their systems against WASF's published standards. This separation keeps WASF's governance focused on its charitable, educational, and scientific mission rather than commercial interests.
WASF is governed by a Board of Directors and is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes, consistent with the purposes recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. The organization has not yet obtained federal tax-exempt recognition under IRS Section 501(c)(3) — its 501(c)(3) application is currently in process.
WASF does not maintain representative offices in various countries; its points of contact are volunteer representatives in each country.
