1. Our Data Minimization Commitment

World AI Sports Federation (WASF) is built around one core technical and privacy principle: we do not collect video, skeleton-tracking data, or any other biometric data. All pose estimation, motion analysis, and AI scoring happen entirely on the athlete's own device — in the local app or browser front-end — through on-device edge computing. Raw camera frames and joint-coordinate data are processed locally and are never transmitted to, or stored on, any WASF server.

Only after this local, on-device computation is complete does the certified partner application transmit a minimal, already-abstracted result package to WASF — consisting of things like total strike count, average speed, and a final AI-computed score. No video file, no image, and no raw biometric measurement ever leaves the athlete's device.

2. What We Collect (and What We Never Collect)

We never collect: video recordings, camera frames, skeleton/joint-coordinate data, facial recognition data, or any other biometric identifier.

We only receive, from certified partner applications, after local processing is complete:

• An anonymous, one-way hashed athlete identifier generated by the partner application — WASF cannot use this identifier to look up a real name, email address, or phone number;
• A display name or nickname you choose to appear on your certificate;
• Your country (ISO country code), used for national rankings;
• The sport/discipline and abstracted technical metrics (e.g. strike count, average speed, pose-accuracy percentage);
• The final AI-computed score, calculated locally per WASF's published scoring rules;
• A cryptographic signature used only to verify the result was not tampered with in transit.

3. User Consent

Local pose-tracking and AI scoring only take place after the athlete (or, for minors, their parent or guardian) has given clear, informed consent within the certified partner application. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by simply not submitting a result — since no video or biometric data is ever transmitted, withdrawing consent locally is complete and immediate.

4. Data Localization — No Cross-Border Data Transfer

Because all sensitive processing happens on-device, there is, by design, no biometric or video data to transfer across borders in the first place. For the limited, already-anonymized result data described in Section 2, WASF processes and stores this data in accordance with the data-residency requirements of the athlete's home jurisdiction wherever such requirements apply, and does not move raw athletic performance data out of the country in which it was generated beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the global ranking and certification service.

5. Hardware & Edge Computing for Offline Competitions

For in-person, offline competitions, WASF's policy is to prioritize edge-computing hardware that is domestically manufactured in the host country whenever locally produced, WASF-compliant hardware is available, in order to support local data sovereignty, reduce cross-border data handling, and strengthen each host country's own AI-sports technology ecosystem.

6. How We Use the Data We Do Receive

The minimal, anonymized result data described above is used only to: generate and publish world/national rankings; issue and verify achievement certificates; and produce aggregate, non-identifying statistics about WASF-certified sports. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

7. Data Security

Result submissions are protected with client-side hashing and digital signatures so that WASF and certified partner applications can verify a result was not altered in transit. Access to WASF's systems is restricted to authorized staff on a need-to-know basis.

8. Children's Privacy

Some WASF-certified activities (e.g. school fitness testing) involve minors. For any athlete under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, participation requires the consent of a parent or guardian, obtained by the certified partner application before any local processing begins. As above, no video or biometric data is ever transmitted to WASF regardless of the athlete's age.

9. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the display name, country, and result data associated with your anonymous athlete identifier by contacting us using the details below. Because the identifier cannot be reverse-mapped to your real identity by WASF, please be prepared to provide the identifier or certificate number in your request.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
